Henry Isaacson is the senior partner of Isaacson Isaacson Sheridan & Fountain, LLP.  Henry is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina, and has been practicing law in Greensboro for over 50 years.  A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Law School earning a JD with honors in 1958 he was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 1958.  Following a tour of duty in the United States Air Force, where he practiced law in the Judge Advocate General’s Department achieving the rank of Captain in the Air Force Reserves, he returned to private practice in Greensboro in 1961 and continues today in this firm which he organized in 1980.

 

Henry practices extensively in the areas of Zoning and Land Use and Regulation, as well as Civil Litigation and General Corporate Law and has earned the respect of his colleagues and clients.  Henry has achieved the AV rating by Martindale Hubbell, the highest rating awarded to attorneys. 

 

In addition to the practice of law, Henry has been very active in his community serving in numerous capacities for a vast array of organizations and agencies both past and present. He has served on the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority since 1999 and has been its Chairman since 2003. He has also served in various capacities with the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce, Greensboro Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, North Carolina Association of ABC Boards, Greensboro Merchants Association, Human Relations Commission of Greensboro, National Conference of Christians and Jews, North Carolina A & T State University Board of Trustees, NC Aeronautics Council, One Step Further, Piedmont Triad Partnership, International Civil Rights Center and Museum, City of Greensboro/Guilford County Intergovernmental Task Force, among many others. 

 

Henry has also received many awards from his peers and others. Among those -  The Business Journal listed Henry in “The Triad’s Most Influential People” in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011; he was listed in “The Best Lawyers in America in 2007 - 2011 and named Lawyer of the Year (2012), Land Use and Zoning Law; named North Carolina Super Lawyer in 2005; was named Duke Energy Outstanding Citizen of the Year; named in North Carolina’s 2007 Legal Elite; received the NCCJ Brotherhood Citation Award in 2005; received the Centennial Award for Outstanding and Exemplary Community Service by the NC Bar Association in conjunction with the Greensboro Bar Association, among others.

 

Henry is married with three grown children and eight grandchildren.
